Miguel Cruz holds a degree in Economics, a PhD from the London Business School, as well as a master’s in Management and an MBA with a specialization in Finance from the Portuguese Catholic University.

He is currently the Chairman of the Executive Board of Infraestruturas de Portugal, S.A. since August 2022, concurrently holding, by virtue of this position, the roles of Chairman of the European Economic Interest Grouping High-Speed Spain-Portugal (EEIG-AVEP) and Chairman of the Assembly of the EEIG “Atlantic Corridor.” He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of IP Engenharia, S.A. since September 2022, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of IP Telecom, Serviços de Telecomunicações, S.A. since August 2023.

Since 1989, he has been a guest Professor at various universities, particularly at the Portuguese Catholic University and the Autonomous University of Lisbon, where he serves as an Assistant Guest Professor.

Since 2017, he has been Portugal’s Ambassador for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
