The power relations that impede women’s attainment of healthy and fulfilling lives operate at many levels of society, from the most personal to the highly public. Achieving change requires policy and programme actions. Also, education is a key role and the most important means of empowering women and youth, encouraging the development of individuals capacity and skills. Maximizing the chances of a population’s success inevitably involves the development of all its skills, especially for populations made up mostly of young people, where women are increasingly educated and represent an important workforce. Therefore, empowerment itself can begin with: Personal Autonomy, Freedom of Choice, Self Love/Self Respect and as a base ingredient Bravery. How to take the most of each one, regardless being a woman or even a child? How to align educational and training systems with the current and future needs of young people, so they cannot only discern developmental issues but may even be capable of suggesting innovative solutions to deep problems of development and growth? How social change on women and youth empowerment can impact on world’s financial development? How can communities and technology platforms enable and empower talented individuals to shape and accelerate Africa’s social and economic development?
