Short Bio

Tamasin has been working as a journalist for more than 20 years, reporting, presenting, filmmaking and feature writing from across Europe and Africa. Much of her reporting has a strong focus on gender and human rights. She began her career in commercial radio in London before moving to the BBC, where she reported and presented on all domestic BBC outlets for both television and radio. In 2010 she moved to Liberia to train journalists with the charity, Journalists for Human Rights and then became a freelance journalist working across Africa for the Guardian, America’s NPR, CNN, Sky, DW, France 24, Radio France International and the BBC. She went on to become the BBC correspondent in Ivory Coast where she stayed for 6 years reporting from across Africa for the BBC. Tamasin is now based in London where she presents radio programmes in the BBC’s Business and Economics unit for the BBC World Service.
