Michael Stopford joined Oxford Analytica in 2017 as a member of the Leadership Team and leads the firm’s client engagements throughout EMEA. Has extensive international experience in both the public intergovernmental and multinational corporate sectors. Served with the United Nations, with the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation and recently as Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Strategic Communications at NATO.
In the private sector, Michael Stopford held senior positions with ExxonMobil, the global agribusiness Syngenta and The Coca-Cola Company. Recently served as global corporate strategist for Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s largest communications agencies, and advised major private and public sector clients on reputational risk and related issues.
A US/UK dual national, Michael began his career with the UK diplomatic service. He also has extensive experience in Higher Education, having headed International Affairs for American University in Washington, DC and as Assistant Vice Chancellor for the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
