Susana Feitor
Portuguese Olympic Athlete, Portugal
With a degree in Sports Organisation Management from the Rio Maior Sports School, Susana Feitor has a recognised career in sport, particularly athletics.
She has been coaching athletics since January 2018 and is also a member of the National Sports Council.
Throughout her career, she has competed in five Olympic Games and is the Portuguese athlete with the most appearances at the Olympic Games, with 57 international caps for Portugal. She won the silver medal at the Beijing Universiade in 2001 and the bronze medal at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005.
In the past, among other roles, she was president of the Olympic Athletes Commission (2002-2005), vice-president of the Olympic Athletes Commission (2005-2009), member of the Portuguese Olympic Committee (2005-2009), member of the board of the Portuguese Athletics Federation (2009-2014) and Head of Mission for the 2017 World University Championships in Taipei (Taiwan) and the 2019 World Championships in Naples (Italy).
Susana Feitor is President of the Board of Directors of the Sports Foundation, a non-profit organisation.
This Foundation, which is also the coordinator of the National Network of High Performance Sports Centres, has as its corporate purpose the promotion of sport and physical well-being, supporting and encouraging its development, particularly in the areas of high performance, education, health, tourism, the environment, the economy and increasing physical activity among the population.
