Neima is a multi-lingual International Economist with more than ten years of diverse experience in Infrastructure and PPP Finance (Energy and Transport), Energy Policy and Strategy, SME Finance, Investor Relations, Resource Mobilization, and Gender Lens Investing gained in Europe (Portugal and Luxembourg) and Africa (Eastern, Western and Southern Region).
Her experiences include origination, structuring, and managing innovative financial instruments such as SME finance vehicles, project finance structures, guarantee instruments, and financing platforms.
Strong business development, deal structuring, resource mobilization, project management, reporting, and client relationship skills.
Currently, Neima is gender specialist for several energy projects funded by SEFA and GCF. She is responsible for mobilizing resources for the 50 Million African Women Speak Platform phase II and implementation of the Capacity Building project to connect African and Japanese women entrepreneurs through networking, business, and market linkage. She is also coordinating the Lusophone Compact initiative targeting private sector development in the six-Portuguese Speaking of Africa.
Neima was born in Guinea-Bissau and raised in Cabo Verde. She holds an Executive Master in Business Administration from Hult International Business School Dubai & Boston campus and a Master degree in Economic Modeling and Simulation from the University of Porto, Portugal.
