Paulo Gomes
Founder of Orango Investment Corporation & Co-Founder of New African Capital Partners, Senegal
Paulo Gomes is the founder of Orango Investment Corporation, and co-founder of New African Capital Partners.
He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Africa-South East Asia Chamber of Commerce (ASEACC), Co-Chair of the Afrochampions Initiative, member of the Board of Directors of the African Union’s COVID-19 Special Fund, member of the Pan African Conservation Trust (APACT), member of the founding team of the African Finance Corporation, and a founding board member of the Green Climate Fund.
Paulo Gomes has over 30 years of experience in sovereign and corporate advisory: he was an Executive Director at the World Bank, representing 25 African countries, and currently provides advisory services on strategy, structural projects, and initiatives in the African continent.
He was a Distinguished Visiting Fellow of the Government of Singapore and NTU – SBF Centre for African Studies.
Paulo Gomes holds an MPA/Master’s degree with honours in Economic Policy and Management from Harvard University and a degree in International Economics and Trade from Sciences Po and ILERI.
