Luís Gonçalves

Luís Gonçalves graduated in Accounting and Management from the Lusíada University of Angola, with a post-graduate degree in Monetary and Financial Economics from the University of Évora, Portugal.
In his career highlights include training in Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Sanctions from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and an Effective Leadership Program taught by Nova School of Business & Economics. In 2019, he attended the Financial Services Volunteer Corps (FSVC) Corporate Governance training.
With a vast experience in the Banking Sector, Luís Roberto Fernandes Gonçalves started his career in 1996 in the general services of the Banco de Fomento de Angola (BFA) branch in Lobito, his hometown.
Later, he performed important functions at BFA. In 2016 he had the mission to create BFA Gestão de Activos, which he led as Chairman of the Executive Committee, was also Executive Director of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and, finally, in July 2020, was appointed CEO of Banco de Fomento Angola.
His professional career also includes work at Banco Keve, as Commercial Director, and at Banco de Crédito do Sul as Executive Director.
